After an accidental leak a few days ago, EA finally unveiled Star Wars Battlefront II at the Star Wars Celebration today. First up is the full-length trailer, which gives us a much closer look at the story:

The official website gives us more specifics. In the campaign, you’ll play as Iden Versio, an elite ranking stormtrooper who commands the imperial army’s “Inferno Squad.” It’s promised to take place across 30 years and feature many well known characters from the franchise.

As for the multiplayer, there’ll be arenas and characters from across all eras. From the prequels we can see Battle Droids, a spy Yoda and Darth Maul, while Rey, Kylo Ren and New Order Stormtroopers make an appearance from The Force Awakens.

You’ll be able to fight in 40 player battles which will feature various vehicles, though they don’t say if players will be able to jump in vehicles from the ground rather than teleport into them as pick-ups.

Space battles will also return, with 24 players supported.

Star Wars Battlefront II will launch on November 17th, just in time for the cinematic release of The Last Jedi. Pre-orders can net you some costumes based on the upcoming film, too.
