When EA first showed off its version of Star Wars Battlefront at E3 many were stunned by how the game looked and played, yet when the game came out, plenty of those same players were disappointed by the lack of any sort of single player in the game as well as a limited focus on the Original Trilogy.
Thankfully, not only has EA announced that they will provide a full single player experience in the game’s sequel but it’s looking like Prequel and Sequel Trilogy content will be along for the ride. Originally planned to be “officially” unveiled at Star Wars Celebration on April 15th, a new 30 second trailer for the game has leaked ahead of time. Naturally, however, EA has been purging the clip from most video hosting sites.
This trailer teases a single player campaign that seems to take place between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, where it looks like you’ll be playing as a soldier of the Empire (pictured above) after the fall of the Emperor and the Battle of Endor.
As for the extended character roster, Rey makes a brief appearance running through a wooded area, Kylo Ren appears shrouded in darkness and the end of the trailer shows Darth Maul standing off against Yoda.
Star Wars Battlefront II is due to launch later this year. The official reveal of the game will take place on Saturday, April 15th.
