Ni no Kuni II is one of the most exciting upcoming JRPGs, and that’s really saying something. Today Polygon shared more information on the game as well as some new footage, which you can check out below:

As assumed from the recent PlayStation Experience trailer, Ni no Kuni II will have a more action-oriented combat system compared to its predecessor where the characters are backed up by little creatures adorably called Higgledies. Each of the three playable characters shown so far has their own moves, strengths and weaknesses.

It’s also confirmed that the world the game takes place in is the same as the original game’s, though changed. While there are familiar locales, like Ding Dong Dell, they will look quite different. It’s unknown at this time if this alteration will be explained in the story.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will launch for PS4 and PC later this year.
